HVAC SERVICES IN LOVELAND, CO
By the team at Homegrown Heating and Air Conditioning
Homegrown Heating and Air Conditioning provides HVAC services in Loveland for homes across the city and the surrounding parts of Larimer County. Repairs, replacements, ductwork and air quality, priced upfront and permitted through the City’s Building Division.
Loveland is different from most Front Range cities in one way that costs or saves you real money on a system replacement. It owns its electric utility. That single fact changes which rebate program you apply to, which contractors qualify you for it, how long you have to file, and how much you get.

BRANDS WE INSTALL AND SERVICE

GOOD TO KNOW
LOVELAND HVAC QUESTIONS
Why does my Loveland rebate come from Efficiency Works instead of my electric company?
Because Loveland Water and Power is a municipal utility and one of four owner communities of Platte River Power Authority. Platte River runs Efficiency Works as the joint residential efficiency program for its owner communities, so that is where Loveland’s HVAC incentives live rather than in an investor-owned utility program.
How long do I have to apply for a rebate after the install?
The Efficiency Works application window is 45 days after installation. Anything totaling more than $2,500 also needs pre-approval before the work starts, or the payout is capped at $2,500. We flag both at quote time so the calendar does not cost you the incentive.
Does my contractor have to be on a list to get me the rebate?
Yes. Efficiency Works pays on work performed by a listed provider, and there is also a minimum age requirement on the home. Equipment that qualifies on paper still does not pay if the installing company is not on the list.
Who supplies gas in Loveland, and are there gas furnace rebates?
Xcel Energy supplies natural gas in Loveland while the City supplies electricity. Xcel runs its own gas equipment rebate with its own efficiency thresholds and its own end date, separate from Efficiency Works. We verify what is current for your address before quoting.
Does HVAC work in Loveland need a permit and a licensed contractor?
Yes to both for contractor-performed work. HVAC is listed as permit-required work, separate mechanical permits are required, and the City issues its own Standard Master Mechanical license for this trade. Homeowners working on their own primary residence can permit the work with a homeowner affidavit.
How cold should my Loveland system be sized for?
The 99 percent winter design temperature for Larimer County is around 1 degree, and Loveland sits at about 4,985 feet. Both belong in the load calculation, along with the altitude adjustment to gas input required above 2,000 feet.
