— This year we decided to choose a person/family that had an immediate need for heat. The recipient of this year’s furnace was a person that did nominate themselves to let us know that when she went to turn on her heat for the first time this season, her furnace was no longer functioning after having issues with it last year. After our tech reviewed the system, he noted that it was original to the home and indeed needed to be replaced. She lives in her home with her 1-year-old son and the cost to replace her system is beyond her means. It was also brought to our attention, after she was chosen as the recipient, that she works for a non-profit organization in Northern Colorado that focuses on helping people that are in need of assistance with food, shelter, help with inadequate care, etc. We were grateful to find her and be able to help
